What Baldly analyzes
The image analysis reviews the front outline, left and right temple recession, crown visibility, diffuse density appearance, symmetry and scan quality across the submitted set.
What information the user provides
Age, noticed change and family-history context can inform a separate risk profile. They do not alter the current visual Hairline Score.
What the output represents
- Hairline ScoreA 0–100 description of current visible preservation; higher means fewer visible recession or thinning signals.
- Pattern rangeAn estimated resemblance to common visible pattern categories.
- ConfidenceHow strongly the submitted images support the estimate.
- Risk contextA separate summary of questionnaire and visible context, not a prediction.
Why standardization matters
Angle, lighting, camera distance, hair condition and hairstyle can change apparent scalp visibility. Baldly guides capture, while users still need to keep repeat conditions as similar as practical. Standardized photography improves monitoring quality. [source]
